As I continue to grow as a writer, I’ve learned to live in my truth no matter how ugly it is. Writing creative nonfiction allows me to tell my story as well as loved ones in an honest, unfiltered manner. Hopefully, by stating my truth, I can help others in some way. Here are some examples of my work:
Fast Food Addicts Anonymous (excerpt) – a narrative-informative piece about male eating habitsÂ
For Mama (excerpt) – examination of my relationship with my mother
My Brother’s Sexuality Journey (excerpt) – literary journalism about my brother’s coming out journey
